Since the phone is locked, I have no way to call Verizon Support. After you enter the correct PUK code, your Android bypasses the current PIN code of your SIM and asks you to set a new one. The only way to unlock the phone now is to enter a PUK code, which Verizon does not give you when you buy your phone. I thought the phone was asking me to enter (read: create) the password for the SIM card, but nope. All Verizon phones manufacturered past 2014 are factory unlocked and will work on any network. This mistake is costing me a lot of frustration and wasted time.Īpparently, Verizon Wireless today is having some kind of customer service database problems for the past two hours and basically can't do anything.
